Back to School 2012!!!

The kids were excited to start school on Tuesday!
(Except for Wyatt.  His preschool begins next Monday.)

Your sign is upside down Josh!  Huh?
Ladies and gentlemen, our second grader!

Claire started kindergarten at the tender age of 4... it was hard to let her go!

 Full day kindergarten!!!
(sniffle)

She loves her new big girl horsie backpack!

Like I said, Wyatt did not actually start school today.
But who were we to halt his enthusiasm!

He really wanted to hold his sign!
And his foam W.

And if he manages to succeed in potty training this week,
the preschool might let him in!  haha
(we're working on it.)

Off to school in the Gilbert-mobile!

I can't believe Josh is in grade 2!
This is going to be a big year for him.
His teacher has already told me that he is "Just lovely.  A lovely boy".  :)

Claire was anxious to get to her classroom.
She dragged me away from my photo-op with Josh!
"I can't be late on my first day, Mama!"

And although she was nervous to go to "real" school, I think she had a fun, but exhausting first day!
I'm fairly certain she will rock kindergarten! :)

And it never hurts to give your rookie teacher an apple on HER first day of school...
Claire's class is her first class as an official teacher!!
:)

I am already missing hanging out with my buddies all day.
I am a lucky mom to have such sweet, wonderful kids!

HOPPY Easter!!!

Happy Easter!!!
Here is a blast from the past.... Joshua's first Easter!

Can't wait for our new egg to hatch! :)

Easter fun!

We had so much fun this Easter!
I am still pregnant, and the good thing about that is that I have been able to do all of the fun Easter festivities with the family this year. I am now 4 days overdue, and feeling pretty exhausted, but still having lots of fun.
Also, Jason hurt his back this past week and has been incapacitated to say the least!
The two of us are quite a pair.
It is pretty amusing I'm sure to see us hobbling about together out in public!
Nana is here to help now, and we are so grateful for her!

The kids had a lot of fun dying Easter eggs on Saturday!!
Josh discovered the crayon on the egg trick and created some pretty cool designs,
Claire had fun mixing the colors together to create new colors, and Wyatt just had fun dipping his egg over and over into the red... taking it out again, and putting it back in!

Josh left this note for the Easter bunny... after watching the movie "Hop" last Easter, he wanted to know!
:)

The kids had lots of fun finding eggs in the house and then out in the yard after church.
And they got a LOT of candy! The Easter bunny kinda went crazy this year...

... maybe the Easter bunny gets chocolate cravings, too!
